Boundaries Baby!

I wanted to talk about boundaries really quick because it’s something that Sol and I have really been working on together. Ugh I love that woman! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better best friend. Imagine having that one person in life that you are so freaking honest with and are openly vulnerable with each other in order to expand as better healthy people. We literally correct each other and put each other’s egos in check so I would say that’s pretty freaking cool. It isn’t easy constantly putting your ego aside. It takes daily work but its crucial if you seek to connect to your higher self.

Anyways, so Sol and I have practiced setting boundaries together. Basically, we practice on each other (like correct the other if they said something “wrong”) so that when we have to do it on actual people outside of ourselves, it will be much easier because we practiced! It’s definitely gotten easier over time though. I’m not sure when we exactly started but either way, we come together everyday and basically release the blockages in our throat chakras lol. We’re really big on not holding in any type of energy, always release any pent up energy ya know. So we tell each other the stuff that we don’t even want to tell ourselves. Like that I let my ego get the best of me when I am interested in someone because my ego likes to tell me how unworthy of love I am. That isn’t easy to admit to yourself, let alone someone else! But look at me, after admitting that hard truth to myself, I was able to sort of conceptualize what exactly made me feel that way and face the issue head on.

It’s simply beneficial to mention that setting boundaries are freaking crazy important in life! You do not want to make anyone else comfortable at your own expense. You deserve to be comfortable, we all do. If anyone gets upset with you because they take personal offense to your boundary then tell them goodbye! It’s just pretty wild how difficult society makes setting boundaries seem but in all honestly, it’s only difficult because you are going against the grain. Basically, the act of actually setting your boundaries itself is not difficult.

I came over to Sol’s house tonight and on the hour drive over here, I got to thinking. We really do make a long-distance relationship work! Well okay, we only live an hour away from each other but hey, it’s still a distance. But we make it work because we both value our solitude as well as the time spent together. So it balances out, we see each other x amount of time while also spending time alone. We also facetime pretty much every day. Sometimes for a few minutes sometimes for 12 hours, depends on the type of workday Sol is having (I’m the “stay at home wife”), lol. We also pretty much split everything 50/50. We keep our relationship balanced by working through our egos together every day and I believe that is pretty freaking awesome.

Sol shows me how to be loved. And that’s how I want to feel from everyone I encounter within any type of relationship quite honestly. Thank you to my best friend for teaching me how to love and be loved! I get to bring in all this greatness into all my relationships moving forward. My future partner has you to thank for helping create a more grounded Alexis. Eeeek!! I literally get filled up with so much joy just thinking about being able to share this new and improved version with my future partner. Is that weird to say? I’m just thrilled with all my growth, I’m proud and want to share that. Basically, my happiness is overflowing. That’s pretty cool.

Anyways, I’ve been listening to “You Can’t Hurry Love” by The Supremes. It’s good to remind yourself that you can and are allowed to take your time with love. No matter how impatient you get, the love you’re longing for will not come any faster. It only comes in a timely manner when you just stop thinking about wanting that love so bad. It’s just a personal issue I noticed about myself because I really am such a hopeless romantic that it hurts.

Rearranged my bedroom!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone! Remember to work on your ego. You are much stronger than your trust issues make you feel. Heal those past traumas of yours so you can have the life you have always desired. We all deserve to be happy. Your wishes are valid and they deserve to come true! Plus, only you can live your life so why spend it feeling so damn miserable? Be patient with yourself. Be patient with others. It’s the least we can do for each other. Just literally let go of all that pain, allow yourself the chance to breathe, and to create that space within your life to let all that good come in.

Okay, good night lol. Also tbh, I haven’t been taking my vitamins so I bought some new ones today because my bones feel fragile. Is this possible? Idk, either way, it’s good to take your vitamins!! I’ve also been drinking a little too much coffee lately. It just tastes like heaven honestly.
