Disconnected From The World (Sort Of)

I think it’s only been like two days of me being officially “disconnected” from the world and Ugh I love it! How amazing is it to live your life unbothered by society. I hate to admit that I spent a decent time on my phone before, about 6 hours/a day. I try my best to not be on my phone and it’s easier when I’m around people but geez, being on your phone becomes almost a second nature thing. You don’t even think about it which is why you don’t realize how much time you spend on it a day. Pretty freaking wild!

So now that I deleted all my social media apps, I’ve been really able to spend time more with myself and do things that I like to do! The only downside that popped up for me is now I just can’t bring myself to reply to any text messages. I know how “gen y” that sounds but really it’s a whole society thing overall. Why do we feel the need and urgency to reply to text messages every time? I feel guilty if I don’t reply right away but it’s not like I’m ignoring anyone on purpose. I am simply enjoying time enjoying my life. People already get mad at me for being a bad texter in general, and now I just really don’t reply at all. It’s an interesting thing that I was thinking about this morning. It’s not to say that text messages are a horrible thing, they come in handy majority of the time for sure. I’m just curious to understand why we get the urgency to reply ASAP and guilt others for not replying within seconds?

Hmm, I wonder what things would be like if we still took phone calls more regularly? I’m honestly not even sure how I feel about that because I dislike talking on the phone too. Maybe we should all go back to sending pigeon letters. Now I could get into that easily.

Now I shall go back into my little world. Someone contact me when we start sending letters with a pigeon, thank you.

Don’t forget to read and educate yourself everyday!
