Roasted Aloo Gobi
If you have ever seen the movie Julie and Julia, well, this my version of that I suppose. Honestly, this movie and Eat, Pray, Love are the two things that inspired me to get my life together. I can’t wait to travel like Julie and Liz (Eat, Pray, Love) did. Traveling for food! For spirituality, for love. Imagine I end up being a mix of both movies. Julia moved to Paris and decided to write a French cuisine cookbook, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” for American’s. Julie blogs her journey on cooking all 524 of Julie Child’s recipes. Liz travels to Italy, India, and Indonesia and discovers herself. I wonder what my mix of the two would be. I have the blog and food down. I can’t travel at the moment, obviously, but I can travel by making different recipes from around the world. I have the eating part down. I’ve started the praying part. And I’m still working on the self-love thing. I’m just curious about what my little take on the duality of them both be. Would it be my twist on it simply because I have a mental illness, lol. I guess we’ll find out eventually! Now to the food.
I decided to step out of my comfort zone of cooking mostly Latinx food and try something else. One of my close friends, R, is Indian and they told me to try making this dish. So I did! And it came out so amazing. I must say, I impress myself pretty freaking often. My cooking style is very me. The best way to describe it, lol. I follow a recipe or two and also add in some substitutions if needed. These are the recipes I followed: https://www.cookwithmanali.com/aloo-gobi/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pH2tu8nD1Ic
